The problem
Many business sites are built on a heavy theme with a dozen plugins, each added to solve a single problem. Pages load slowly because every visitor downloads scripts that only one page uses. Updates are risky because nobody is sure which plugin depends on which, and a routine version bump can break the contact form.
Behind that sits a content problem. The editor interface was never configured for the people using it, so a simple change to a team page means calling the developer. Over time the site stops being updated, the information goes stale, and the business loses the main reason to have a website in the first place.

Our solution
We build from the approved design using a stack chosen for the job: a custom theme or a modern framework, with a content management system configured around your actual content types. Editors get structured fields and reusable blocks, so adding a page means filling in a form, not wrestling with a page builder.
Performance and search basics are part of the build, not a later phase. Images are sized and lazy-loaded, scripts are kept to what is needed, semantic HTML and metadata are in place, and forms, analytics and redirects are tested before launch. Google's published Core Web Vitals thresholds, LCP under 2.5 seconds, INP under 200 milliseconds and CLS under 0.1, are the targets we test against.
Capabilities
Hand-built templates from your design, with clean markup and minimal JavaScript, rather than a stock theme with features you do not use.
WordPress or a headless CMS set up with structured content types and editor roles, followed by a session showing your team how to publish safely.
Image pipelines, caching, font loading and script control, measured against Core Web Vitals on real mobile devices and not just on a fast desktop.
Semantic headings, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, schema.org markup and a redirect map, so a launch does not cost you existing rankings.
Enquiry forms routed to your inbox or CRM, GA4 and conversion events configured, and spam protection that does not rely on frustrating captchas.
Production hosting setup, backups, SSL, staging environments and an optional maintenance plan covering updates and monitoring.
Process
We confirm the platform, content model, integrations and hosting, and document what is in scope so the build has no surprises.
Templates and functionality are built on a private staging site you can review throughout, with progress demos at agreed milestones.
We test across browsers and devices, check forms and tracking, migrate content, and map every old URL that needs a redirect.
We handle the DNS and go-live steps, monitor errors and Search Console during the first weeks, and fix any launch issues at no extra charge.

FAQ
WordPress is a good fit when your team wants a familiar editor and a large plugin ecosystem. A static or headless setup suits sites that prioritise speed and need little editing. We recommend based on your content, team and budget, and we will say plainly if WordPress is the wrong tool for what you describe.
Not if the migration is handled properly. We crawl the existing site, preserve URLs that rank, redirect every changed address and check Search Console after launch. Some short-term movement is normal after any relaunch, but ranking loss is usually the result of skipped redirects, not of the redesign itself.
You do. The repository, hosting account and domain are set up under your ownership, with us added as collaborators. If you ever move to another developer, you hand over access and nothing is held back.
Yes, within reason: booking forms, calculators, member areas, API-fed listings and similar features. When requirements grow into a full application with user accounts and complex logic, we will suggest scoping it as web application development instead.
Send a few lines about what you're trying to move. We'll reply with questions, a rough shape of the work, or an honest no.
